The Infinix S4 Smartphone has been announced with a water-drop notch display style, 32MP selfie snapper, a 6.2″ HD+, runs on Helio P22 SoC, a triple rear camera, and 3GB / 6GB RAM.
A few weeks ago, the company announced their long-awaited flagship series Zero 6, and Zero 6 Pro, including their mid-range products, Hot 7 and Hot 7 Pro. But here is the Infinix S4 handset!
Infinix S4 mobile handset comes with a respectable tear-drop notch display, which isn’t a new screen display design. And it is much smaller and minimal than other notch designs.
However, this is the first Infinix phone with a tear-drop-style notch display design, while the Infinix Hot S3X is the company’s first mobile phone to sport a comprehensive notch display.
They are big differences in both notch-style display designs. While the Hot S3X notch display is wide enough to house three features, which include a selfie snapper, ambient sensor, and receiver.
On the other hand, the Infinix S4 with tear-drop-style, which is popularly called water-drop-style notch display hosts just a single selfie 32-megapixels camera shooter.
Infinix novelty of phones is increasing each day, and they are gradually shifting the camera series from Camon phones to their fast-growing S-series.

It would be pretty bad for a device like the Infinix S4 to not feature a fingerprint sensor. In other words, the Infinix S4 comes with a fingerprint sensor, and this fingerprint scanner lies on the rear side of the phone. The product has support for Bluetooth technology. But rather than coming with Bluetooth 4.2 or lower, the device comes with Bluetooth 5.0. Other sensors the smartphone has, include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
The Infinix S4 features a micro USB 2.0 port. And interestingly, this USB port is also a USB on-the-go port. In other words, you can attach flash storage to the smartphone. Apart from having support for Wi-Fi technology, you can also use the Infinix S4 as a mobile hotspot. Not so many people demand support for radio, but this product happens to have support for radio.
While Inifinx Hot S4 boasts loads of spectacular features, there is one that stands out – and that is the camera quality. Infinix never disappoints in this aspect and they have shown their quality again with this amazing camera. The device is the first Infinix product to boast a remarkable tripe camera combination of a primary dual 13 MP and an additional 8MP which makes a total of 34MP at the rear of the phone.
The smartphone also features an amazing 32 Megapixel front shooter for selfies well positioned at the top of the device. The front camera also boasts of a face-scanner for Face ID, LED flash, autofocus, and other lovely features.
The camera apart, the design of this smartphone is another outstanding feature of the device. Infinix has a generic design for most of their smartphones but Hot S4 grades are among the standout designs. The smartphone is simply a splendour to behold and very comfortable to hold and sleek enough to slide into the pocket with ease. Inifinix should be applauded for this design.
It features a sleek 2.5D Glass body with slim bezels surrounding them. At the top, a lovely teardrop notch houses a selfie front shooter. Fascinatingly, the Hot S4 also has a back panel designed with glass. This part of the device houses all the back cameras and its LED flash. The fingerprint sensor also sits conveniently by the side of the rear camera. The phone also boasts dimensions that make it fit all hand sizes.
The phone boasts a lovely 6.26-inch edge screen display and a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. According to Infinix, the smartphone boasts has 88% screen to body ratio with slim bezels and also a 19:9 aspect ratio.
If we are to go by the records on paper, you can expect a steady display with smooth colour filtering and credibly clear images. You would not expect anything less from a smartphone mobile that has dominated the mobile market for a while now.
Now let’s talk about the battery. Infinix fans wouldn’t be surprised by the battery capacity of Hot S4 of course. The brand usually scores an A in this aspect and this wouldn’t stop anytime soon. First of the lovely 4, 000mAh which means you can use the smartphone for a whole day when fully charged without the need to plug in during the day. Also, you should credit the charging speed of the smartphone. When using the right charger, you shouldn’t expect to fully charge the device in more than two and a half hours.
We are still not sure this device supports the trending fast charging but you shouldn’t have any problem given the battery capacity and normal charging speed. Another plus to the rising Infinix market.
The two variants of Infinix Hot S4 are massively encouraging in terms of performance. Like the popular Tecno Camon 11 Pro, this device boasts an appreciable 6 GB of RAM. This means that you shouldn’t expect the phone to hang so often. You can run various apps on the device at the same time and it’d still run smoothly.
The devices also boast storage capacities of 32 GB and 64 GB depending on the variant you are going for; not a bad one for a device in its category. Also, the memory storage is expandable up to 256 GB via an external SD card.
A MediaTek Helio P22, a Quad-core processor with a super-fast processor speed of 2.0GHz, powers it.
As much as this is seldom talked about in phone reviews, it is one of those core features to consider in a smartphone. The Infinix S4 maintains 2G, 3G, and 4G network speeds and also feature a dual Nano-SIM port. Like most other latest Infinix smartphones, it boasts Bluetooth version 5.0 for fast connection to Bluetooth enabled devices, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 2.0 port and FM Radio.
