When it comes to the choice of SOC, we are expecting to see a MediaTek chipset. Most like the MediaTek G70 gaming chipset. Well, it will be a big surprise if Tecno uses a Snapdragon chipset to power the phone. Let’s just say, Tecno loves MediaTek more than Qualcomm.
But, we don’t want you thinking that the MediaTek G70 chipset is some baby SOC for Midrange smartphones. Remember the Infinix Note 7 that performed better than the Samsung Galaxy A51 and A31? Yes, that phone uses the MediaTek G70 chip.

If Tecno also decides to use the MediaTek G90 or G90T, we won’t be too surprised. But, if they decide to use any of the MediaTek chipsets that supports 5G connectivity we’ll be very surprised. Things are going to be a little more interesting in the camera sector of this phone. Tecno is also using a more improved Taivos technology to enhance its camera quality.
